[Peridot extends a hand for Lapis to help her up, which she smoothly uses to pull her into a hug.

Sometimes she can be the smooth one. Sometimes.]

Sorry about that. I just got excited. Who knows what's gonna be in that box today?

[Aww. Lapis successfully relaxes a bit more into the hug and gives her what might be a headpat or a hairtousle if Peridot's uncanny hair physics really allowed for either of those properly; in any case, it's fond and not forceful enough to run afoul with said physics.]

Then I guess we'd better find out.

[Although that means they have to proceed on over there and pay attention to that instead of getting any more affectionate. Oh well, Lapis still likes watching Peridot enjoy things.]
